What is an Intercessor?
Not all prayer warriors are the same—some are Heaven’s posted sentinels.
In this stirring episode, Apostle Williams unpacks the divine calling of an intercessor, describing them as “warriors among the sheep” appointed by God Himself from Isaiah 62:6-7 to stand as watchmen day and night, refusing to rest until God’s purposes are fulfilled. Far from casual churchgoers, intercessors carry the burden of the church rather than personal concerns, trusting God to handle their needs. They live in continuous fellowship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, marked by sensitivity to God’s leading, mastery over the flesh, and a refusal to indulge in gossip, anger, or spiritual laziness. Avoiding the fate of the “sleeping watchman” in Isaiah 56:9, they must guard against letting intellect override the Spirit’s prompting and maintain a disciplined, longsuffering posture in prayer.
Apostle Williams teaches that effective intercession is always rooted in the Word of God and fuelled by the spiritual strengthening that comes through praying in tongues. He calls for a focused 21-day prayer campaign from August 1–21, aimed at sustaining round-the-clock intercession for revival and soul-winning. Repentance and holy living are non-negotiable, as ongoing sin can hinder both spiritual authority and readiness for the rapture (1 John 2). The episode closes with a rallying cry for the church to awaken in power—snatching souls from hell’s grip and ushering in a global outpouring of God’s Spirit.
