What truly happened on the day of Pentecost—and why does it matter to believers today? In this sermon, Apostle unpacks the powerful significance of Pentecost Sunday, describing it as the day when the full power of the Father was poured out upon the church through the Holy Spirit. Citing the prophecy in Joel 2:28-29, he explains that God's Spirit was promised to all—sons and daughters, the old and the young, even servants—enabling them to prophesy, dream dreams, and see visions. This prophecy finds its dramatic fulfilment in Acts 2:1-4, where the Holy Spirit descended like a violent wind, with tongues of fire resting on each individual, resulting in everyone being filled and speaking in tongues. Apostle Williams emphasises that this was not a one-time event but the divine pattern for equipping the Church.

He passionately asserts that the Holy Spirit is an indispensable necessity for every believer. Quoting Acts 1:8, he stresses that it is through the Spirit that believers receive power—to cast out devils, heal the sick, and even raise the dead, as Peter did in the Book of Acts. He shares personal testimonies of supernatural encounters and reminds listeners of Luke 3:16, where John the Baptist foretold that Jesus would baptise with the Holy Spirit and fire. Through 2 Corinthians 5:17, Apostle Williams affirms that salvation makes us new creations, reconnecting us to God's divine nature and positioning us as heirs with Christ. He concludes by urging believers to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit through focused prayer, explaining that it brings not only spiritual transformation and boldness in witnessing, but also empowers success in one's personal and professional life.

What if you truly believed that the same power that worked in Jesus also works in you? Apostle affirms that believers are destined to operate with the same authority and power as Christ Himself. Success in any area—spiritual, academic, or business—is tied not to natural ability but to spiritual enlightenment and a relentless pursuit of deeper knowledge of God. The foundation of this power lies in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, as declared in Romans 8:11: the Spirit who raised Jesus now gives life to our mortal bodies. Referencing 2 Corinthians 3, Apostle explains that when a person turns to the Lord, the veil is lifted, allowing them to reflect God’s glory and be continually transformed from glory to glory.

Apostle Williams passionately declares that born-again believers are “the same as Jesus”, referencing John 17:18—“As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” Just as Jesus was anointed to do good and heal all under the power of the devil (Acts 10:38), so are His followers. Citing John 14:12, he reminds believers that they are not only able to do the works Jesus did but even greater—if they walk by faith. This authority is activated through the spoken word: speaking life, declaring truth, and commanding mountains to move. Apostle underscores that, according to Romans 8:1, believers are no longer under condemnation, but under grace—free, forgiven, and empowered. The message closes with a stirring charge: stop retreating. Like Elijah in James 5, rise up, draw a line, and attack the enemy with the authority already given—by declaring what should be, not what is.

What happens when the veil is lifted from your understanding? In this sermon, Apostle Williams explores the connection between spiritual enlightenment and divine authority. Referencing Ephesians 1:18 and 2 Corinthians 3:14–18, he teaches that just as professional excellence comes through continuous study, turning consistently to the Word of God unveils the heart and allows believers to reflect God’s glory. He shares a powerful personal encounter where, after asking to see a cherub, an angel appeared and revealed his life’s purpose written in a book by God—illustrating how spiritual curiosity leads to revelation and accelerated progress. Through the Holy Spirit, who brings all things to those who ask in Jesus' name, believers are called to operate in full power, just as Jesus promised in John 14:12.

Apostle Williams reminds listeners that the same Holy Spirit who anointed Jesus (Acts 10:38) now dwells within them, empowering them to heal the sick, cast out devils, and perform miracles (Acts 1:1, Luke 9:1, Luke 10:1–9). This authority is not limited to apostles, as even the 72 sent out by Jesus walked in power. He emphasises that this is the year of revival and the year of the righteous, where the message of Christ must become power on the lips of believers. Miracles, signs, and wonders are not for the past—they are for now. Apostle urges believers to obey, speak boldly in the name of Jesus, and demonstrate God’s power in the streets, just as Philip did in Acts 8:4–8. It is not anointing alone, but obedience that causes demons to flee and healing to manifest. The harvest is plentiful, and the time for God’s glory to be revealed through His people is now.

What if the power you’re waiting for is already within you? Apostle challenges believers to recognise and operate in the power of the Holy Ghost. Citing Ephesians 1:18–19, he revisits Paul’s prayer that the eyes of believers be enlightened to understand the hope of their calling and the immeasurable power available to them. He underscores Colossians 2:9, affirming that in Christ, the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily—and that same fullness has been given to believers through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Drawing on Ephesians 1:3, Apostle warns that the primary barrier to manifestation is not lack of power, but ignorance. Believers already carry every spiritual blessing in Christ, and the same strength that moved the stone from Jesus’ tomb (Matthew 28:1–8) resides within them now.

Apostle Williams further explores the role of the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth and Guide (John 16:12–13), urging believers to become attuned to His voice—often revealed through inner promptings and spiritual insight. He announces practical changes in the church to better steward time for worship and fellowship, including the introduction of printed bulletins and simplified offerings. Most significantly, he reintroduces hourly prayer, inviting every member to commit to one hour of unified intercession. When believers pray together with one heart, he declares, they generate a “super exponential” spiritual force so powerful that “Satan will hide.” The sermon concludes with a prophetic word: within seven days, signs, wonders, and divine encounters will follow those who embrace their authority in Christ and boldly manifest His glory.

The importance of Tithing

Sunday Jun 01, 2025

What if giving to God is more than obedience—what if it's a divine contract? In this thought-provoking sermon, Apostle Williams explores the spiritual and practical significance of tithes and offerings, teaching that they form a sacred undertaking with God. Drawing from Malachi 3:10, he emphasises that this is the only command in Scripture where God says, "Test me in this." When believers faithfully bring their full tithe into God's storehouse, they are effectively investing in the work of God—becoming stakeholders in His mission. In return, God promises to open the floodgates of heaven, pour out immeasurable blessings, and protect from devourers and misfortune. Apostle Williams boldly declares that Christians should not struggle in business or career, because tithing invokes divine provision and favour.

However, the sermon also carries a sobering warning. Quoting Malachi 3:8, Apostle Williams explains that withholding tithes is described by God as robbing Him, and such disobedience invites a curse. He stresses the seriousness of this act, referencing Revelation to remind listeners that thieves will not inherit the kingdom of God. Just as God is faithful to bless, He is equally bound by His word to discipline disobedience. The message challenges believers to move beyond emotion and embrace giving as a covenant—a business with God in which He can neither deceive nor be deceived. Faithfulness in giving, Apostle affirms, is a visible demonstration of trust in God’s unchanging laws and a key to unlocking supernatural abundance.

What powers your faith when life feels uncertain? In this sermon, Apostle explores the vital connection between faith and hope, urging believers to operate in the power of the Holy Spirit with hearts anchored in confident expectation. Praying from Ephesians 1:18–21, he asks that the eyes of every listener’s heart be enlightened to grasp the fullness of their calling, inheritance, and the incomparably great power available to them. He explains that faith—the substance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1)—cannot function effectively without real hope. Approaching God in prayer or worship must begin not only with requests but also with thanksgiving, recognising that the power to overcome is already within us (Acts 1:8). Fasting, he teaches, is for seeking mercy—not for acquiring power believers already possess.

Apostle Williams goes on to highlight that praise and thanksgiving are powerful spiritual tools for unlocking manifestation. Through heartfelt worship, believers enter God’s presence, stir up faith, and invite divine intervention—where battles are won and angels move. Like Jesus in John 5, Christians are called to speak life into seemingly hopeless situations, calling things that are not as though they were. The same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead is alive within us, and Apostle reminds listeners never to be disheartened by negativity. God’s grace is sufficient, and He is able to turn every curse into a blessing. As John 4:23 affirms, God seeks worshippers who honour Him in spirit and in truth—those who walk in hope, faith, and power.

Operating in the Holy Spirit

Sunday May 25, 2025

Sunday May 25, 2025

What does it truly mean to operate in the Holy Spirit? In this empowering sermon, Apostle Williams traces the consistent presence of the Holy Spirit throughout Scripture—from the Old Testament to the resurrection of Jesus in Matthew 28:1–8, where the angel’s appearance like lightning is seen as a manifestation of the Spirit’s power. He explains that while the Holy Spirit came upon prophets, judges, and kings like Saul and David in the Old Testament to enable supernatural exploits, the New Testament brings a profound shift: the Spirit now dwells within all who receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour. This indwelling transforms believers from spiritual depravity into a life governed by holiness, as affirmed in Colossians 1:13 and 2:13. Apostle Williams highlights that this divine presence not only forgives all sin but also empowers Christians to live by the love of God—treating others as Christ would, rather than from selfish ambition.

The sermon strongly connects spiritual obedience to divine blessing. Apostle Williams teaches that withholding tithes, as noted in Malachi 3:8, is considered robbing God and can obstruct a believer’s blessings. He concludes by calling Christians to awaken to the “living hope”, “riches”, and “incomparably great power” available to them through the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:18). This power is not symbolic—it is God Himself, living within. With this awareness, believers are urged to go beyond church walls: to preach the gospel boldly, heal the sick, and cast out demons, even on the streets of London. Every challenge, Apostle affirms, can be overcome by those who live fully in the Spirit’s power.

Call Me Mara

What name are you calling yourself that God never gave you? In this sermon, Reverend Oma Williams reflects on Ruth chapter 1, exploring how hardship and personal tragedy can lead people to wrongly redefine themselves. She draws on the story of Naomi, who, after losing her husband and sons in Moab, asked to be called “Mara” (bitter), believing the Lord had made her life hard. But Reverend Williams clarifies that it is not God who brings misfortune—Satan is the afflicter. The message draws a contrast between Bethlehem, a place of divine provision likened to the church, and Moab, a symbol of the world and disobedience. Citing Deuteronomy 11:10–25, she explains that God promises abundance to those who obey, but disobedience shuts the heavens. Naomi’s family left Bethlehem during famine—likely brought on by disobedience—and experienced suffering in Moab as a result.
Yet even in Naomi’s sorrow, there is a message of hope. Ruth’s unwavering loyalty—“Your people will be my people, and your God my God”—shows the power of steadfastness and choosing truth. Reverend Williams encourages believers not to abandon their spiritual home in difficult times but to remain in a church that teaches the Word faithfully. The sermon ends with a call to willingness and obedience, referencing Isaiah 1:18–20: those who obey will “eat the good of the land.” There’s a promise of restoration for all who return—because God is making all things new again. Don’t embrace the identity of bitterness; embrace the God who restores.

The works of the Holy Spirit

Sunday May 04, 2025

Sunday May 04, 2025

What if the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is not just around you—but within you? Here, Apostle unveils the reality of resurrection power made available to every believer through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Drawing from Matthew 28:1–8, he explains that the angel at Jesus’ tomb was clothed in the Holy Spirit, shaking the earth and rendering guards powerless. That same Spirit, Apostle affirms, now lives inside believers (Romans 8:11), meaning Christians carry the very "spirit of the holy God." Too often, he warns, believers live beneath their spiritual potential by neglecting a daily, intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, whom they are called to converse with continually.

Apostle teaches that the Holy Spirit leads into all truth (John 16:12), unlocking divine wisdom and success in every area of life—academics, business, relationships, and calling. This power is activated through faith, described as being certain of what is hoped for (Hebrews 11:1). He shares a testimony of financial breakthrough brought by the Holy Spirit’s precise instruction, likening it to God’s unexpected provision through Cyrus in Isaiah 45:1–3. Citing John 14:12, Apostle reminds listeners that all Christians—not just leaders—are empowered to do the works of Jesus and even greater, because the same Spirit dwells within them. Through this power, believers are transformed into people of constant testimony, called to walk in abundance and fulfil Deuteronomy 28:12–13—to be the head and never the tail.

What does it mean to walk closely with the Holy Spirit in everyday life? Apostle unpacks the importance of understanding and being sensitive to the Holy Spirit, who now leads the Church in this present dispensation—following the eras of God the Father and God the Son. He teaches that the Holy Spirit is God Himself in spirit, living within believers, guiding thoughts, inspiring good actions, and revealing divine knowledge. The Spirit is not merely a force, but a person—one who desires fellowship, love, and worship. Apostle Williams explains that recognising and relating to the Holy Spirit makes the Christian life not only effective but also easier, as He is the one currently in charge. He shares how the Holy Spirit empowers believers with authority, even in dangerous situations, referencing Romans 8:10 and Romans 10:1 to affirm that He gives life to our mortal bodies.

Apostle highlights that one of the greatest keys to releasing God’s power is faith working through hope, as described in Hebrews 11:1. Referencing John 14:12, he teaches that those who walk in relationship with the Spirit can do even greater works—receiving insight into matters of career, business, relationships, and calling. The Holy Spirit can turn knowledge into wealth and reveal hidden things, including future events and divine direction. Believers are encouraged to pray specific, reasoned prayers—not vague requests—partnering with the Spirit to access the fullness of God's plans. Finally, Apostle reminds listeners of their obligation to live by the Spirit, not by the flesh (Romans 8:12–14), and to pursue holiness (2 Corinthians 7:1). Salvation, he says, is a gift of mercy, and the Holy Spirit is the solution to life’s complexities—revealing truth, strengthening faith, and leading believers into their divine destiny.
